The First Annual Literacy Volunteer Golf Tournament sponsored by Literacy Volunteers of Monongalia/Preston Counties, a United Way Agency, will be held at noon, May 19, 2007 at the Preston Country Club, Kingwood WV.  Proceeds from this tournament will directly benefit adult learners in Monongalia and Preston Counties.

The tournament format will be a 4-person scramble, starting at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 19.  Entry fee for the tournament is $300/team or $75/person.  A 2007 vehicle is being offered by Scott Ford for a hole-in-one on hole number 18^. 

The prize for the winning team will be $400 cash/team and the second place team will receive $200.  Other special tournament competitions, contests, raffles, and mulligans will be available.  Each golfer will be provided a snack pack at the beginning of the tournament.  Dinner will be served in the pavilion at the course immediately following the tournament and awards will be presented then.
